Hello, I’m rosie fennday

My personal journey to this medicine began aged 20 while traveling in Canada, where I recieved excellent treatment for sciatic pain. I went from being in constant pain, unable to sleep, to not experiencing that at all for 10 years. It was truly life changing.

My first career and abiding love is landwork. I have worked on farms, gardens and forests. My drive to do this stemed from a desire to mitigate, as much as was possible in my personal power, the effects of ecological degredation casued by poor stewardship of the land. I also found great joy in the physical work and the peace of mind that comes with connecting tangibly with the soil, plants and animals.

Gradually, as I came to believe that our actions are a result of our internal state, a question arose:

“Is it a feeling within ourselves that drives us, as a species, to treat carelessly the living planet that we are a part of?”

And so with that in mind I began my studies at the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine. I graduated in 2024 with a BSc (hons) degree in Acupuncture.

I am currently studying with the London College of Acupuncture and Natural Medicine on their Daoist Acupuncture Apprentiship programme.

In the future I plan to study herbalism, but one thing at a time.

I am a member of the British Acupuncture Council.
